Komunikasi Lintas/Antarbudaya (Cross Cultural Communication) tidak banyak yang tahu tentang konsentrasi ini selain mahasiswa Jurusan ilmu komunikasi, Universitas Nusa Cendana (Undana).   Ya, memang di Kupang ada dua jurusan ilmu komunikasi, satunya di Undana dan lainnya di universitas Widya Mandira (Unwira). Untuk wilayah Nusa Tenggara Timur, Ilmu komunikasi lebih banyak dikenal melalui konsentrasi Jurnalistik dan Hubungan Masyarakat, maka tidak mengherankan ketika mencari kerja anak KAB (sebutan untuk mahasiswa konsentrasi antarbudaya) sering ditanya-tanya tentang  konsentrasinya oleh para pencari tenaga kerja. Nilai Bahasa Indonesia kamu 100? Seharusnya kamu bangga...

Bahasa Indonesia : Kebanggan terakhir di Dunia Pendidikan Indonesia Nilai Bahasa Indonesia kamu 100? Seharusnya kamu bangga. Kenapa? Itu membuktikan kalau kamu adalah orang cerdas (Ingat ya Cerdas, bukan hanya pintar). Kan aneh kalau setiap hari berkomunikasi dengan bahasa Indonesia tapi masih saja gagal mendapatkan nilai 100 di ujiannya. Ya, bahasa Indonesia memang sedang berada di bawah mata pelajaran MIPA. Jarang ada orang tua yang bangga jika anaknya mendapatkan nilai 100 dalam mata pelajaran   Bahasa Indonesia. Yang dilihat pertama kali oleh orang tua saat melihat nilai raport anaknya pasti mata pelajaran MIPA atau bahasa Asing (Inggris, Jerman, Jepang, Cina dan lain-lain), kalau nilainya menurun pasti si anak akan ditegur berulang kali. Filosofi Menara Babel

Filosofi Menara Babel ini sebenarnya terbersit saat membaca Kitab Kejadian 11 : 1 - 9 dengan perikop Menara  Babel yang menceritakan tentang Raja Pertama di muka bumi yakni Raja Nimrod, yang berkuasa setelah zaman Nuh. Dialah manusia yang paling gagah perkasa dan sang penakluk mula-mula umat manusia. Untuk mengabadikan kekuasaannya dia berniat untuk membuat sebuah bangunan yang tingginya bisa mencapai langit. Dalam perikop tersebut juga dijelaskan bahwa umat manusia di muka bumi pada waktu itu memiliki bahasa dan budaya yang satu sehingga tidak menjadi kendala untuk menghimpun mereka dalam suatu bangsa dan menyatukan mereka dalam satu pikiran yang sama.  Singkat cerita di bawah pemerintahan Raja Nimrod, pembangunan menara pun dimulai, begitu hebatnya mereka bekerja hingga mampu membangun sebuah bangunan yang hampir menyentuh langit.
